But... Raoul Isn't a Singer

I colored this last night while watching the Rose Bowl. USC just broke my heart by losing at the end. I'm not a USC fan... I just don't like Texas. I just sat there with my mouth hanging open. When the stadium starting singing "The Eyes of Texas," I just about cried. But if you are a Longhorn, I'd like to say congratulations. That was a good, close game. And I'm looking forward to seeing my team play (and defeat) the national champions next year. Now... on to the picture.

Another Phantom comic... they're just so much fun! There's a scene where Christine and Raoul are on the roof of the opera house and he starts singing. She joins in. Why in the world is he singing? He's not a singer! It somehow seems appropriate for Christine and Poto to sing. But Raoul? Why is he singing?! (The answer, of course, is that it's a musical.) So this is my little interpretation of events.

Um, it's my first time actually drawing a dress like that. I have a hard time drawing women, so most of the girls I draw wear T-shirts or something that's not as... low-cut and sleeveless. OK, so I really went out on a limb there. Christine's arms look a little short, especially in the last panel. I love Christine's face in the second panel. And look... a semi-background and an attempt at a little atmospheric intervention.
